Damir picked up the guitar at age 13, inspired by numerous classic-rock and blues acts such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore and many others. As a mainly self-taught guitarist, his musical development was driven by the desire to explore different genres of music, to find a unique voice on the instrument and to reach a high level of technical proficiency in order to execute wide array of musical ideas regardless of their style and level of complexity. Players like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Guthrie Govan and many others had a big impact on Damir’s playing style and musical output.

Writing, recording and performing original music has always been the main focus for Damir, even since the beginning of his musical journey.  The journey started by playing in several local bands, performing wide variety of musical styles ranging from traditional blues to extreme metal. It was around that time that he started to receive attention as a highly skilled and talented guitar player. With the expansion of social media, his musical activities naturally developed in a more serious routine of producing YouTube content, self-releasing singles both as a solo artist as well as being a member of full-time bands, performing at renowned national festivals and events, all while making a name in the guitar community by participating and winning awards in online guitar competitions.

Damir’s debut solo album was released June 15 2017. He is also a member of the recording project Bondi Blue. Bondi Blue managed to release singles under their former name “Omnia”. An EP of more original material is also in the works.
